This quota policy will increase brain drain.

As people from the open category will be forced to look for better career options abroad.

Do the politicians really want to lose more indian brains to other countries ?

US and other countries will surely try to capitalise on the current situation in India.

IITs and IIMs should spread abroad and try to capitalise on the situation too.

Those from the open category who can afford to go abroad should get admissions there.

That may be one solution.

would like to hear more from you.

Good piece of work that showcases the current day India. I liked the idea of cells and cellular equality, cells being made of some number of individuals.

Sankrant,

Another clever piece. Your extension of divide and rule policy to celluer equality sounds distant but could be a reality in some distant future in India.

Simply hilarious. I am all for social development and upliftment of the down-trodden. But giving reservations simply on the basis of caste is ridiculous b/c there are poor people in every caste. Then maybe the blacks should be given reservation quota of 18% in all US universities and jobs b/c they were enslaved 2 centuries ago. And also the hispanics need to given reservation b/c they were ruled by the Spanish 2 centuries ago.  Also Jews need to be given reservation in Germany b/c of the Holocuast. And then all Hindus were discriminated against when the Mughals ruled us and then Hindus were ruled by British. And why are not Hindus getting quotas in Muslim countries or Britain to pay back for this past injustice. Penalising the present generation for whatever happened in the past is not right. I agree poor people need to be given incentives to study further but that should also include poor people from all castes and not just so called lower castes. Most of the people taking advantage of the BC/OBC quota are going to be the kids of parents who also took advantage of the same quota. These people are in no way down trodden and they would still be getting reservations just b/c they were born in a particular caste.

>>>Well, it goes to the Department of Social Problem Identification or SPI. Axiomatically every discrepancy can be traced to one of five fundamental problems – casteism, communalism, genderism, familyism and geneticism. <<<

Sankrant

Once  'Quota Land or Land of Equality' is fully established with you getting stamped a social outcast by the SPI... do you become 'God of Small Things' or just dismissed as a statistical aberration?
